Checking and Adjusting the Neck Relief
First, we'll check the neck relief. Place a capo on the first fret and press down on the last fret. Use a feeler gauge to measure the gap at the 8th fret. Ideally, you want about 0.010 inches. If adjustments are needed, use the truss rod to tweak the neck relief. Turn clockwise to reduce relief, counterclockwise to increase it.
Setting the Action
Next, let's set the action. Measure the string height at the 12th fret. For a comfortable setup, aim for around 2.0mm for the bass strings and 1.5mm for the treble strings. Adjust the bridge height if necessary.
Intonation Adjustment
