Guitar Set Ups Are Essential

Many guitars are made overseas, packed and shipped across the ocean, and put in a warehouse for who knows how long.  The humidity and temperature changes alone can make big changes occur from the original assembly.  Truss rod tension changes fret ends may come out, controls may come loose.  Several measurements must be taken to make sure your instrument is at factory spec or to your liking.

Fret to string height, string height at the nut, neck radius for bridges with individual saddles, matching string to neck radius at neck and bridge, setting correct neck relief, considering your playing style, oil fret board, and setting intonation are all things for you to check out.

The guitar, like all musical instruments, are an extension of your personality.  It should first of all feel comfortable and good in your hands so you can produce the music that pleases your ears.
